The Crow Wing Lake Association was founded to promote the welfare and improvement of Crow Wing Lake. Its membership consists of 85% representation of the lake property owners, a Board of Directors, and a network of Area Representatives.
This site is provided by the CWLA to serve as an information source and forum for property owners and friends of Crow Wing Lake in Fort Ripley, Minnesota.

Authorization Form - Due May 1st!
It's time to send in your 2026 Weed Treatment Authorization Form. In order to qualify your lakeshore for the free swimmer's itch treatment, (along with invasive Curly Leaf Pondweed and nuisance weed, Sago Pond Weed) this form MUST be MAILED to our treatment vendor NO LATER than May 1.
If you don't return your signed authorization by the deadline, the DNR likely won't allow any treatment adjacent to your property.
Also, IF YOU WISH TO HAVE THE COPPER SULFATE TREATMENT/S for Swimmers itch, you must include a check made out to Central MN Aquatics,Inc. and include it in you Authorization Form mailing. Because of increased costs, the LID is unable to cover the costs for copper sulfate/swimmers itch treatments. The estimated dates of treatment are indicated on the form.

Additionally, the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources requires us to publish the following "opt-out" notice to our members:
Dear Crow Wing Lake Property Owner,
Please be advised that during late April to early May 2026 Central Minnesota Aquatics will treat limited areas of Crow Wing Lake for the control of the invasive aquatic plant curly-leaf pondweed. Treatment will be accomplished by using Aquathol K and/or Tribune and/or Flumioxazin, which are Minnesota DNR and EPA approved products.
If you do NOT want treatment to occur within 150 feet in front of your shoreline property on Crow Wing Lake you must notify Central Minnesota Aquatics, Inc. at 218 963-7345 prior to April 25, 2026. Thank you for your participation.

There will be an election of officers....and a plea for some new volunteers. Please consider sharing a bit of your time to volunteer for a few needs that are listed in the newsletter. See details in the attached newsletter. A ballot is included in the newsletter and may be mailed if you are not able to attend the meeting.
