382 Acres of Paradise
Crow Wing is a 382 acre lake located about 8 miles south of Brainerd, in Crow Wing County.
It has one natural inlet that enters the lake from the northeast corner, providing a reasonably steady source of water. A secondary inlet is located in the southeast corner and feeds the lake during periods of heavy local rainfall. One outlet is located on the western edge of the lake and feeds into the Mississippi river.
The littoral area (15' deep or less) of the lake is 210 acres or 55% and has a maximum depth of 26'. Average depth is 11'.
Water clarity is approximately 7' and bottom is mainly composed of sand, gravel and muck.
There is a public access on the south side of the lake, with the rest of the lakeshore private property.
